Is ski destination?in Europe’s cheapest
I have been trying to make a comparison between Bansko in Bulgaria and other ski resorts in Europe to find out which one is the cheapest.
If you book early in Bansko you can enjoy a one-week ski holiday in Bulgaria for as little as €18 per night per person in a good 3-star hotel. That’s if you book early before 1st November. In France, Italy or Austria you will pay no less than 3 ties as much for a decent 3-star hotel in an average ski resort, even if you book early!
Everybody knows that food is good in Bulgaria. And it’s cheap. I remember crying in Switzerland when I saw the bill for a traditional fondue. Here in Bulgaria I can recommend some great home-made food at the top of the slopes for €10 per person per meal.
And the wine is excellent. Whether it is home-made or out of an official bottle from the shop you can enjoy a memorable warmer for much less than €5… on the slopes too!
All in all, I am still looking but I have not yet found better ski destination than Bulgaria when it comes to cheap and value-for-money.
